Ministerial Nominees: Imo State Gets Two Ministerial Slots?

Photos shows Festus-Odimegwu and Professor Gozie Anthony Anwuka

The presidency last night submitted the second and last batch of the ministerial list to the Senate President.

However, informations on those whose names might be on the list are still sketchy, because the Senate President is been careful not to squeal the information to the media.

Reliable presidency and Senate sources however informed the Vanguard Newspapers that names like those of Eze Festus Odimegwu and Professor Anthony Anwukah are on the list for Imo State.

If this turns out to be true, then, Governor Rochas Okorocha must be congratulated for stamping his feet on the ground to get what he thinks is due to him. This also calls for some celebration among Imolites as the president would have made it clear that Imo has so many good heads that we could provide two ministers of the Federal public at a time.

What may not be very good about this is the fact that these two ministerial nominees are coming from the same place as the Governor.

I am an Orlu man, but I do not believe that everything should go to Orlu. Some other zones in the State should have gotten these ministerial slots in order to give them good sense of belonging.

Imo ga adi mma ozo!
