Mongolia sacks senior health official over poor treatment of COVID-19 patient

Dulmaa Nyamkhuu, Director-General of the Mongolian National Centre for Communicable Diseases (NCCD), was removed from his post on Thursday for not properly performing his duties, local media reported.
Mongolia is a landlocked country in East Asia, bordered by China and Russia, known for vast, rugged expanses and nomadic culture
Nyamkhuu dismissal comes after the poor treatment of a woman who had tested positive for COVID-19 and was transferred from a maternity hospital to the NCCD together with her newborn baby on Tuesday night.
