Nuhu Aliyu, son of the late Doctor, Yakubu Aliyu that allegedly died of COVID-19 has refuted that his father died of Pandemic.
The late physician, Aliyu Yakubu, had travelled to Lagos and returned to Daura after which he fell sick and was later confirmed to be infected with the virus.
He was admitted at the Nigeria Air Force Reference Hospital, Daura where he died on Saturday, April 4.
But, his son in a video lasted for one minutes thirty – four seconds claimed that his late father did not die of COVID-19 adding that the result was manipulated.
He said,”I want to get it into the public that the information in public that my dad died of COVID-19 is lie.
“They took the sample and am sure the result was manipulated. I got information from my friends that three of us in the house have the virus . they don’t even know how many of us are inside the House at the moment. You will stop hearing from us very soon, I don’t even know where they are taken us to, they are coming to come and take us . we know don’t the kind of food they ate going to give us the kind of medication they are going to give us.
“They are taken us for observation we don’t know what is going to happen to us in that place.”
Katsina State Government had announced on Friday that the wife and two children of the medical doctor, who died of COVID-19 in Daura, had tested positive to the pandemic.
According to Governor of Katsina state, Aminu Bello Massari, Samples of about 23 people were taken to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control; three tested positive for COVID-19.
He said the wife and two children had been taken to an isolation centre at the Federal Medical Centre, Katsina where they were being treated.
“We are still taking samples of people suspected to have had contact with the victims; we shall trace anyone that had any contact with the victims. We shall ensure that the pandemic is not spread further,” he said.
