NANS Confirms Award On Adamawa Son Engr. Vwampakai Bafyau.


The National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) yearly Award of excellence has recognition the hardworking of one of the Adamawa illustrious son,Engr Vwampakai Bafyau.

The 2016 NANS Award of excellence was yesterday confirmed on the Bafyau who they refer to as the “service Man of the year” with excellent records of achievements.

Bafyau who is the present coordinator of Adamawa state Rural Access and Mobility Project 2 (ADRAMP-2) and known to be engineer the networking and creating access roads in the rural communities of Adamawa state.

His citations stated that,he started the work of engineering in the early 80s immediately he obtained a Diploma certificate in civil engineering from a University in Canada, later had his education in Nigeria and obtained a Masters Degree in Civil Engineering,a field that showcases him to be a distinguished civil  Engineer with mind blowing records.

The NANS President,Comrade Aruna Kadiri sending a delegation of entourage to Represent by the Senate President Bamigbade Taiwo Salawu while decorating him with the honour he said:

“As an excellent Engineer we recognize your tireless work to humanity and God, we are not given you this honour to go and sleep but to ginger you and make you redouble your work for the sake of humanity.”

“Bafyau is a name that is synonymous with struggles,Unionism and fighting for the common interest of people.”

The Award ceremony which held in the recipient office in Yola Yesterday with all the directors of the organization and staffs from other organizations to witness the occasion.

Comrade Edgar Amos a lecturer with the Modibbo Adama University of Technology Yola advised the students to make the better use of their talents in order to be the present day leaders not tomorrow’s.

On his response Bafyau thank the Governor of Adamawa state, Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow for given him the opportunity to serve and provides all the counterpart funding to access donor funds for the construction of roads in the rural communities in the state.
