NAUTH: Ibeto backs Ugboaja for CMD following monumental infrastructural developments
The rapid infrastructural change happening in Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi, since Dr. Joseph Ugboaja assumed duty as Acting Chief Medical Director (CMD) has attracted various attentions and investors.
Some of the latest investors include Chief Dr Cletus Mmadubugwu Ibeto, one of the leading industrialists in Nigeria from the host Community of the Hospital.
Dr. Ibeto, during his short visit to NAUTH to identify with the developmental strides in the hospital, equally hailed the Dr. Ugboaja led team.
He lauded the team for the transformation they have so much put into the hospital in terms of healthcare service delivery of which he has also benefitted from.
He narrated how the Ugboaja-led management responded to the Covid-19 crisis as about the best he can get anywhere in the world.
Ibeto encouraged them to continue in that spirit towards ensuring that in terms of healthcare delivery NAUTH leads in Africa.
He equally mentioned various projects he is undertaking in the hospital because of his conviction in the leadership of Dr. Ugboaja.
The projects includes donation of some diagnostic equipments, some of which arrived the previous day.
Dr Ibeto in his visitors’ note congratulated Ugboaja for coming first in the interview and assured the hospital of his absolute support.
Meanwhile, he encouraged other aspirants and management team to key into the wonderful vision of the people’s choice, Prof. Ugboaja, the Acting CMD.
In his short response, Prof Ugboaja assured the August visitor, Chief Dr Cletus Ibeto that what he just witnessed is a beginning.
According to Ugboaja, he remains committed towards total transformation of the hospital which will happen in 3 phases within a short time frame.
He expressed gratitude to the crowd made up of NAUTH Staff, delegates of Nnewi Chamber of Commerce and members of the host community and concerned Youths who gave him a surprised welcome back package.
The package included prayers and cultural displays.
He mentioned that very soon the President and the Hon Minister of Health and the other political stakeholders in Anambra State will be invited for groundbreaking ceremony for the multitude of projects lined up at the permanent site.
Other events included supervision of the six brand new state of the art dialysis machines procured by Dr. Ibeto, the new Accident and Emergency unit being built and equipped by Chief Ibeto, the Utility Vehicles procured with Assistance from Innoson among other ongoing infrastructural developments.
