New NNPC GMD Promises To Revive 4 Refineries By 2023
The new Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation [NNPC], Mr. Mele Kyari has pledged to revive the four national refineries that are in condition of total disrepair before the end of President Muhammadu Buhari administration in 2023.
Mr. Kyari made the pledge on Monday while taking over the mantle of leadership from his predecessor, Dr. Maikanti Baru.
Kyari, who also promised to work help deliver Dangote Refinery by first quarter of next year, said he target to hit 3 million barrel per day mark and also grow its reserves.
The NNPC GMD also vowed to route out corruption from the nation’s cash cow.
He said: “There will be no corruption where there is no discretion.
“We are going to work with the EFCC to take out corruption from our system.”
