Newly elected Bebeji LG chairman dies in Kano


Alhaji Ali Namadi, the newly elected chairman of Bebeji local government council of Kano State is dead.

Alhaji Namadi, who was elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), died on Tuesday after a brief illness aged 57.

News of his death was broken by the by the APC Publicity Committee Chairman of Bebeji local government area, Ibrahim Adamu Tiga.

Tiga, who broke the news to journalists, said Namadi died of suspected high blood pressure around 1.am on Tuesday.

He was one of the 43 candidates who won the 44 seats in the Kano chairmanship election held on Saturday conducted by the Kano State Independent Electoral Commission (KANSIEC).

Namadi, who was yet to receive his Certificate of Return before death came calling, has been buried in his residence according to Islamic rites.
