NIDO Americas elects new officers
Nigerians in Diaspora Organization (NIDO) AMERICAS had its Annual General Meeting successfully on September 4, 2021 via a Zoom videoconference.
It was an eventful Conference drawing a pool of participant of discussants from Nigeria and abroad, and was well attended by Nigerians in the Diaspora.
This year’s Conference Theme was on the Security Challenges in Nigeria. Several presentations were made which will be channeled to the Government for onward implementation.
This AGM also witnessed the presentation of the 2021 NIDOA Election Results to the General Assembly. The results were for the National Officer’s Elections and for the Continental Board of Trustees Elections. The outcome of the Election showed that NIDOA for this next two years shall be managed by the following Leaders as heads of each Unit:
Chairman of the Board of Trustees: Engineer Tope Esan from Calgary, Canada
Chairman NIDOA USA Board of Directors: Dr. Bartheleme Shepkong from Ohio Columbus
Concurrent President NIDOA Canada: Mr. Philip Eto
Concurrent President of NIDOA Brazil: Dr Yusuf Bamidele Adesina
The Nigerians in Diaspora Organization was established to mobilize Diaspora Expertise and Resources for Nigerian Development through close engagement with the Government, Nigerian Professionals in the Diaspora, and other Stakeholders of the Nigerian Project.
