NNPC has allayed motorist fears of any plans to increase pump price of Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS) popularly called petrol from the current N145/liter

‎The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has allayed motorist fears of any plans to increase pump price of Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS) popularly called petrol.

The Corporation has a robust supply arrangement that can guarantee sustainable fuel supply over a long period of time.

Reference of unsustainability of N145 per litre of petrol only relates to possible spike in the international market price of petroleum products.

This has been mitigated by NNPC’s long term procurement contract plan that guarantees stable pricing.

The NNPC would sustain the tempo of petroleum products supply throughout the ember months and beyond.

It should also be noted that the Corporation has resolved all issues related to foreign exchange to ensure fuel price stability and distribution.

The NNPC enjoined Nigerians not to engage in panic buying as there is no cause for alarm in respect of pump price increase or shortage of products.

Nigerians should enjoy their travels throughout the ember months and beyond.
