NPA Boss, Hadiza Elected Vice-Chair Of IMO Facilitation C’tee


The Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority [NPA], Hadiza Bala Usman has been elected as Vice-Chairperson of the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) Facilitation Committee (FAL) at the 43rd session currently holding in London.

News of the appointment was broken by NPA on its official Twitter account.

The International Maritime Organization is the UN agency that leads international efforts to promote safer shipping on cleaner oceans.

Her Russian counterpart, Marina Ansell was elected as the Committee’s Chairperson.

During the session, the Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Ambassador George Adesola Oguntade, CFR, has delivered a message of appreciation to the delegates on behalf of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for Managing Director’s election into the prestigious FAL Committee.
