A house newly purchased by the governor of Anambra State, Chief Willie Obiano is reportedly among the many houses submerged when the area was flooded.
The house is located in Sugar land, Houston in the United States of America.
Up till today, government and security authorities are seen trying to restore sanity to the damage inflicted by Mother Nature and harsh weather.
A source whispered to Elombah.com that Obiano made the hush-hush purchase in anticipation of the judicial events in the state which, it is generally agreed, will not favour him.
According to our correspondent, the house was recently bought and renovated with dazzling amount of money.
Meanwhile, at the home front, Elombah.com gathered that the embattled governor is immersed in anxiety as the highly anticipated Supreme Court judgement approaches.
The judgement will be delivered on September 14.
It will decide who, between Willie Obiano and Hygers Igwebuike is the authentic candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance [APGA] for the forthcoming Anambra State gubernatorial election.
Obiano emerged from the deposed Victor Oye’s camp, while Hygers Igwebuike is the candidate for the Martin Agbaso faction recognised and approved by the Enugu High and Appellate Courts respectively.
The said election will be held on November 18, 2017.
If the apex court rules in Agbaso faction’s favour, then Obiano will quietly pack his luggages and head back to his Houston “swimming pool” where he came from.
