Oh Deltans; I Kidnapped Your Sheriff ~ By Fejiro Oliver [A Poem]

Oh Deltans; I Kidnapped Your Sheriff ~ By Fejiro Oliver [A Poem]
The author

The call came

Was it not March

“Stop the social media war”

Once the voice spoke, I respected

The Sheriff has spoken, who go against

The breeze of Atlantic blew in May

First call rushed in the very day

“Fejiro, Sheriff is now the Speaker”

Oh power, how transient art thou

Always wondering like Fulani’s cow

They go in droves

But the pen remains

To everyone it dishes their scores

They fight the battle, we win the war

Yet, the bond remains

June the bond was sealed

Just one call and new friendship formed

Who orders nature

Who commands God

When he makes the ocean

I am his passion

Running the tarmac

Dana stopped

I’m in town

He’s also around

We met

State most prestigious hotel

The Sheriff is in town, Ifybros strutting too

The Speaker in my domain

He wouldn’t go

Not when Eltee foods has not touched the lips

The convoy

I led them

Enen Afaha the street named

Eltee foods welcomes

Is this Delta Speaker

Garbed in commoners robe

Chatting unknown street boys

Eating away like he’s home

Power demystified

The mace made public

Hearts won

The street still in awe

Moments after leaving

The Speaker stole the show

Two speakers One Eatery

Tell mama we made it

Launched by Akwa Ibom Speaker

The Speaking Speaker

Onofiok Luke

Graced by the Sheriff

The grace speak

Amazing grace!
