Ohanaeze Spokesman Warns Killer Herdsmen To Keep Off Igbo Land
Ask herders states and FG to give out and to farmers, fishermen and animal husbanders from the south for free too to do their private businesses.
The spokesman of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide, Mr. Chuks Ibegbu has warned killer herdsmen to keep off Igbo land in their own interest.
“We cannot tolerate the killings of our people in our land,” Ibegbu warned, in the heels of the chopping off of the hand of a business woman at Ogbor hill in Aba , Abia state and the butchering of some people in Anam in Anambra State by herdsmen.
Ibegbu warned against herdsmen rearing their cattle in towns , government houses and along highways , something that is not seen any where in the world except in Nigeria.
Chuks Ibegbu called on the states from where these herdsmen hail and the federal government to also provide lands for fishermen , farmers and tradesmen from the south and middle belt to carry our their occupation too.
He noted that these men want to build caliphates, emirates and religious colonies in the grazing lands and that will not happen in Igbo land he warned.
On the statement by Junaid Mohammed and Babachir that the south should forget the Presidency in 2023, Ibegbu dismissed it.
He noted that the men spoke for themselves and not for the North.
“The North is sophisticated politically and know the consequences of any misstep to them.
“The worst they can do is to look for surrogates in the South to hand over power to as Obasanjo did in 2007.
“But I must warn these agents of confusion to stop destabilising Nigeria , by their comments,” Ibegbu warned.
