Okonjo-Iweala Appointed Member Twitter Board Of Directors
Former Nigerian Minister of Finance, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala has been appointed into Twitter Board of Directors.
Announcing the appointment, Jack Patrick Dorsey, an American computer programmer and Internet entrepreneur who is co-founder and CEO of Twitter, tweeted:
We’re adding Ngozi (@NOIweala) and Bob (@authorzoellick) to the Twitter board. Welcome! Sadly we’re also saying farewell to our friend Marjorie (@marjscar). She’s been an amazing advocate for journalists everywhere, and pushed us constantly to better inform people. Thank you M.

Responding, Mrs. Okonjo-Iweala tweeted:

Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala is currently Senior Advisor at LazardLtd, Board Chair at Gavi, Board Member ARCapacity and a two-time Minister of Finance in Nigeria.
Okonjo-Iweala served as minister of finance and coordinating minister for the economy of Nigeria under President Goodluck Jonathan from 2011 until his government was voted out in March 2015.
Prior to that, she was the Minister of Finance under President Olusegun Obasanjo from 2003 to 2006.
