Old Aguata union pays solidarity visit to Soludo, felicitates with him as APGA guber flag-bearer

The Old Aguata Union of All Soludo Support Group (OAU/ASSG) led by Prince Neville Uchendu visited Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo on Friday, June 25, 2021 on a solidarity visit as well as to felicitate with him on his emergence as the APGA flag-bearer for the November 6, Anambra governorship election

The group which is under the leadership of Her Excellency, Chief Ifeoma Ekwueme, wife of former Vice President, Dr Alex Ekwueme, was led by Prince Uchendu to Soludo’s country home in Isuofia.

Speaking on behalf of the group, Prince Uchendu told his host that the group came to celebrate his victory at the just concluded APGA primary election

Prince Uchendu assured Soludo of the group’s unwavering support for his governorship ambition pledging to give 100 per cent of their support.

He promised Soludo the group will work hard to mobilise votes and deliver their wards in Aguata, Orumba North and Orumba South respectively, come November 6, 2021

“We want to assure you that we will give100 percent of our support to you in the battle ahead. We will work hard to mobilise votes and deliver our various polling booths and wards” Prince Uchendu re-assured

In his response, Soludo thanked them for their efforts and contributions towards his victory at the primaries. He reminded them that there is still a lot of work to be done in mobilising the voters and coordinating the people as well as selling the mission and vision of APGA to them.

“This is the time to roll-up our sleeve and get down to work ” Soludo said

Soludo also acknowledged the unflinching support and contributions of other Support Groups who have been working hard by continously mobilising and sensitising the people

He further counselled that the challenge was for people to come and vote as a way of exercising their basic civic duty and voting franchise

“The challenge is to make sure that the registered voters in your ward are identified, sensitised and mobilized to vote on that day” Soludo said

He also expressed gratitude to Governor Willie Obiano for his statesmanship and leadership and the entire APGA leadership

The highlights of the visit were the presentation of a Ram to Soludo as a symbolic gesture in welcoming a warrior back home after a successful outing and as well as a mark of support.

Soludo and his amiable wife, Mrs Nonye Soludo, were also decorated with the OAU/ASSG official regalia.

Others who were present at the occasion include; the Secretary of the group, Hon Akachukwu Igwebuike; Chief Iyke Russia, former member Anambra State House of Assembly; Dr Chukwudi Okoli (All Saints Hospital) chairman ASSG Orumba South, Dr Leo, Chairman ASSG Orumba North; Prof Aginam from Oko Chief McAnthony Cyril Nwobu, ( Mmiri OAU); Hon Jude Umunna, Founder SSM; Mr Akachukwu, Secretary of ADS and ASSG- OAU; Hon Oge from Owerri and many others
