Open Letter: Buhari, lift ban on Easter holiday as Katsina lifted ban on Juma’at
By Carol Ajie
President Muhammadu Buhari
May I Respectfully urge you to lift the ban on religious activities to allow Christians to celebrate Easter holiday Please Sir.
The Government of Katsina State your State has in his wisdom lifted the ban on Friday prayer. Tomorrow Friday which is Good Friday for some, the Muslims are allowed to say their prayers in Mosques whilst Christians in Katsina are yet to be granted similar rights. Ain’t we all equal before the law?
Click on this credible report:
Your Excellency as a pious Muslim one would think you would seek national prayer sessions in Arabic language for Muslims with a view to curbing or removing COVID from Nigeria and that you would request the Vice President a Christian to seek Christian leaders to organize similar national prayer sessions.
You have not requested either Muslim or Christian prayer groups to pray for our country Nigeria and you are not allowing celebration in the churches, one of the most fundamental events Easter.
You have not, with your beautiful spouse Aisha, been seen in a Muslim prayer worship to save Nigeria. President Trump and US first lady did and published it.
If these were Eid Malud or Eid Fitri are you saying you would shut down Mosques for a virus whose origin is suspect. Very unlikely Sir.
Your Loyal Citizen,
Amina Ajie [Amina is my Muslim name and Carol Mary Christian name]
