Open Letter To President Muhammadu Buhari ~ By Igbokwe Joe

Your Excellency let me tell you today without mincing words that God had been with you as a mighty terrible one right from day one till you get to where you are today. God has fought many battles for you and has carefully positioned you to heal the deep wounds in the country and chase and confine the enemies of Nigeria to the junkyard of history.

You came in 2003, 2007, 2011 and you wept after the criminals had stolen your mandate. You said you will not contest again but you are not God. God had other plans. In 2015 God brought you to the fore and crowned you to do His work and bring justice to the land.

We saw the battles you fought from 2015 till date. We saw the enemies at work. We saw the gang up that dragged till 2019. We witnessed how the Finger Of God saw you through in 2019 even after the worst kind of gang up to stop you, the type never seen in the history of Nigeria.

You prevailed as God stopped them. God has tactically, meticulously and clinically cleared your vicious and potentially dangerous enemies out of way given what happened yesterday in the National Assembly.

Your enemies have been defeated by God to allow you to do the work you are sent to do. You won left and right , front and back, up and down . It God’s own doing and it is marvelous in our eyes.

Mr President, may Allah the Most Beneficent, the most Merciful, the most Generous, the Most Benevolent bless you today without measure. The God that we all serve will not depart from you even at a time like this , Amen.

President Muhammadu Buhari

Today is June 12 2019 and 26 years after the annulment of June 12 1993 Presidential elections won fair and square by the late Chief MKO Abiola.

That criminal annulment initiated chains of events that claimed the life of the man himself, his wife Kudirat Abiola, and many others like Chief Alfred Rewane, Bagauda Kalto, Dr Omotsho, Commodore Olu Omotehinwa, Vice Admiral Babatunde Elegbede,, General Shehu Yar’Adua, Tokunbo Onagoruwa, Alhaji Suliat Adedeji and thousands of others time and space will not permit me recount here.

Great men like the late Gani Fawehinmi , Beko Ransome Kuti, Femi Falana, the late Bab Omojola and others were hounded in and out of detention at the drop of a hat .

The press led by Tell Magazine, The News Magazine, The Guardian, Tempo Magazine and others were shut down and some went into guerrilla journalism.

Thousands died on the streets unaccounted for. Many officers in the Army, Navy , Air Force, Police, Secret Police lost their commission. A generation of army officers perished under unknown circumstances. Nigeria lost heavily.

Mr President, the Man who won the election and his family became the worst losers. He lost his mandate given by 14 million Nigerians, he lost his life, he lost his wife, his businesses. Concord Newspapers and Magazine went down.

MKO Abiola

Concord Airlines went, Abiola Bookshops went down, Abiola Farms, Abiola Bakery, ITT, Real Estate and host of other companies died with him. His wives and numerous children were left almost with nothing in the last 26 years. The center could no longer hold in the family.

They lived with the pains of losing everything their Father had, they suffered neglect and relegation. The world clashed on them. It was worse.

Your Excellency, for more than 20 years Governments came and went but none remembered Chief MKO Abiola , the sacrifices he made and the grave injustice meted to him and his family.

In 1998 some people gathered and thought that the best thing to do to move Nigeria forward is the kill General Abacha and Chief Abiola, the two gladiators. Abacha was poisoned on June 8 1998 and Chief Abiola was also poisoned on July 7 1998.

Both died and Chief Obasanjo became the beneficiary and became the President of Nigeria in May 29 1999.

Now did he use the position to do the needful for the late man and his family? Did he remember the man on whose back he rose to power?

Did Obasanjo remember the family Chief Abiola left behind, his businesses and the sacrifices. He ignored the family. Even the late president Yar’Adua and former President Jonathan did nothing.

Mr President this is just the background of what transpired for more than 22 years before you came into the saddle to begin to address the real issues.

Thanks a trillion for being the instrument God is using mightily to wipe away tears from the eyes of the abused and deprived Nigerians.

Thank you for working so hard to immortalize Chief MKO Abiola and June 12 historic event.

Thanks a trillion for giving Chief Abiola GCFR, the greatest Medal meant for former Heads Of State.

Thanks a trillion for officially making June 12 the real Democracy Day in Nigeria.

Today dignitaries are coming from all over the world to join us to celebrate. It is God’s own doing and it is marvelous in our eyes. May the Name of Allah be blessed for using you as a vessel to bring justice for the deprived, the abused, the molested, the wounded and the dead.

Your Excellency I pray that the All knowing and Mighty Allah will guide you accomplish what you have started. It is time to go the whole hog.

Make the result of June 12 1993 official.

Declare Chief MKO Abiola the winner and from today let the Family get all the benefits due to former Heads of State.

Nigeria loses nothing by so doing rather there will be unspeakable joy , full of glories in the land.

Name Monuments after him.

Get a committee to compute what Chief Abiola and the family lost in terms of everything and the Federal Government should pick the bill.

Allah , the greatest will help you and give the courage to do this.
