Acting President Yemi Osinbajo is currently, Thursday morning, presiding over a meeting of the National Economic Council (NEC).
The meeting, scheduled for 11.00 am, is holding inside the Council Chambers of the Aso Rock Presidential Villa in Abuja.
The meeting of the National Economic Council is the first for the year.
The council, chaired by the vice president, has the responsibility of guarding the president on economic policies.
It comprises the 36 state governors and the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) as well as other Presidency officials and heads of relevant federal agencies whose portfolios revolve around the economy.
