Osinbajo, South West Govs In Closed-Door Over Amotekun
Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo is currently in a closed-door meeting with the governors of the South-West states at the Presidential Villa in Abuja over the security outfit, Operation Amotekun.
Amotekun was launched recently by the six states in the zone to combat gnawing insecurity that has seen scores killed, kidnapped, raped, or plundered.
Amotekun generated controversies ever since the Attorny-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Mr Abubakar Malami [SAN] declared it illegal.
ElombahNews gathered that Mr. Malami and the Inspector-General of Police, Mr Mohammed Adamu, are also present at the meeting.
Presently, the Federal Government is at loggerhead with the South West governors who insisted that they would not drop Amotekun.
Details of the meeting will be made public as soon as they are available.
