318

The National Working Committee (NWC) of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has adopted and upheld all the resolutions of the Southeast Working Committee of the party of July 3, 2020.

This was contained in a resolution of the NWC issued after its meeting released on Friday and made available to ElombahNews.

The PDP NWC affirmed Sir Ndubuisi Nwobu as the duly elected and legally certified Chairman of PDP in Anambra State.

It urged the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and Security Agencies to relate ONLY with Sir Nwobu on matters concerning PDP in Anambra State.

The party leadership vowed to heavily sanction members who set up parallel bodies.

The NWC asked those who had taken the party to court to withdraw all cases and abide by party rules.

It also insisted that PDP is not interested in zoning its 2021 governorship ticket, rather, that it is only interested in winning with credible and capable candidate.

The party pledged to ensure free and fair and transparent primary election as the Anambra State 2021 governorship election approaches.
