The Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] may eventually get a substantive chairman on Wednesday when the members of its National Executive Committee meet in Abuja.
The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Chief Olisa Metuh, in a statement in Abuja on Friday, said the members of the party’s National Working Committee [NWC] had scheduled meetings of key statutory organs of the party for next week.
According to the schedule approved by the NWC, the meeting of the National Caucus of the party has been slated for Tuesday.
This meeting, Metuh said, would be followed by that of the Board of Trustees on the morning of Wednesday, while that of the National Executive Committee would follow in the afternoon.

PDP to Hold NEC Meeting Next Week Wednesday
In view of the recent developments in the party, the National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has scheduled meetings of key statutory organs of the party.
According to the schedule approved by the National Working Committee, the meeting of the National Caucus of the party has been slated for Tuesday, February 9th, 2016 at 7pm.
It will be followed by the meeting of the Board of Trustees (BoT) on the morning of Wednesday, February 10th.
The National Executive Committee (NEC) will meet at 2pm on the same Wednesday, February 10th, 2016
The meetings are in furtherance of internal discussions on very crucial issues within the party as well as ways to reposition it for the challenges ahead.
