Photonews: 3 villages completely destroyed by Fulani herdsmen in Pleateau/Kaduna state
3 IRIGWE VILLAGES ATTACKED IN PLATEAU AND KADUNA STATES
Irigwe communities in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State was attacked on Monday, 17/6/2019. Report says about 200 men suspected to be fulani militias carried out the attack.
Sources reporting to Stefanos Foundation said that the attack started at about 3-4am at Angwan-Rimi, Kamaru in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to the report, 3 children from the community, namely: Monday Yahaya, 8 years, Samson David, 15 years and Zhime Danladi, 9 years were all killed in the attack.
The attackers, having conducted their attack unchallenged at about 1pm of the same day proceeded to another Irigwe community in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State, just few kilometres away from Kauru Local Government Area. There, they killed 4 people, including a Special Task Force (STF) Mobile Police officer.
1 person survived gunshots from the attack. He is currently receiving treatment at Enos hospital in Miango. [see above photo]

The attackers burnt down houses, destroyed farm crops and many other properties.
Currently, the villagers are helpless and have deserted their communities for safety .
Later that same day, at about 5pm again, the attackers attacked Kikoba, another Irigwe community in Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna state. They also burnt down houses and destroyed farm lands.
2 Churches in Kangbro, ECWA and Catholic were also burnt in the attack.
Lawrence Zongo, the Miango Youth Development Association spokesman of the villages made an appeal on behalf of the people, seeking for intervention from spirited individuals, local and international organisations, government and churches to assist the affected villages and help the victims cope with the situation
