Police arrest strip party organiser in Ilorin, mum on what charges to arraign suspect

Operatives of the Nigerian Police, Kwara State command arrested a certain Akinsola Babatunde, aka Mr White over claims that he was going to organise a strip party in Ilorin.

Police commissioner, Mohammed Bagega, is however, mum over what criminal charges to arraign Babatunde, saying instead there were some breaches in the COVID-19 protocols in the said party organised.

Bagega admits that the party was yet to be held. The police says that it arrested the suspect based on credible intelligence on what they discribed as the “criminal activities of one Akinsola Babatunde A.K.A “Mr. White” ‘m’ of No. 16, Achimugun Street Flower Garden G.R.A, Ilorin and his cohorts who are into organizing stripped/naked parties in Lounges, Club Houses, Service apartments and so on in Ilorin metropolis and its environs.

Operative of the State Intelligence Bureau, SIB, attached to the command, carried out a sting operation involving tactical undercover and maneuver.

They arrested said Mr. White who had advertised for a strip party in Ilorin on social media and successfully organized a party in a service apartment at Joab Street, behind Shoprite GRA, Ilorin.

“The immoral and illegal action of Mr. White and his accomplices clearly contradicted the Covid-19 protocol and equally promotes crime and criminality,” the commissioner of police said.

“Effort is ongoing to arrest the fleeing members of the gang and they will be charged to court as soon as the investigation is completed,” the police chief added.
