Police Chiefs in Awka Anambra State accused of intimidating Complainant

A complainant, Atuanya Ifeoma has accused Police officers in Eke-Awka Police station, Anambra state of intimidation and lawlessness, demanding that the case file be transferred to the newly created Zone 13 of Nigerian Police .

The case file and suspects are currently with the State Criminal Investigation Department, Awka.

The officers involved in the Shenanigan are IPO, Monday Nwana and DCP, Maiyaki Muhammed Baba.

According to Counsel to the complainant, Sir B. Aguigwo, both Tochukwu Chinwuba and Obiora Ekemenzi attacked the complainant inside Eke, Awka main market in Anambra state.

The Counsel said the IPO did a shoddy investigation and interfered with the investigation report while establishing sufficient evidence of bias, undue extortion, harassment and intimidation of complainant

The. Lawyer also accused the IPO of concealing tainted investigation report from his client who now seeks protection of the highest Police Authority within the newly created Zone 13 to take over the investigation and prosecution of the culprit who hitherto enjoyed collaboration with the IPO.
