His decision followed several attempts by the group to garner his attention.
Earlier this month, the party had delegated Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to discuss with the nPDP group which bore no fruit as the faction threatened, at some point, to pull out of the negotiating table.
Shortly thereafter, the group issued another threat following the withdrawal of Department of State Security [DSS] details of certain National Assembly officials.
Some of thoose affected by the withdrawal were President of the Senate, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, Deputy Senate President, Prof. Ike Ekweremadu, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, et al.
The last straw was the allegation levelled against the Senate President, Saraki, bu the Nigerian Police that he was involved in the famed Offa armed robbery that saw dozens of people dead.
Saraki was even invited by the police to explain his role in the robbery.
Furthermore, news filtered in that that are grand plots on ground by the federal government to frame Speaker Dogara in a similar fashion, as well as other prominent figures including former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
Another source, who wished to remain anonymous, confided in ElombahNews that President Obasanjo was accused of master-minding the nPDP saga through his many allegation against the President Buhari-led administration.
Obasanjo was instrumental in the advent of the present administration to power but fell out of favour when he accused the president of incompetence.
He also asked him not to seek reelection haven failed woefully in steering the affairs of the nation.
Presently, the nPDP faction have given some conditions to the APC, otherwise they will be forced to pull out of the party.
Part of the condition is to seek audience with President Buhari which he had in a loud and clear manner stated that he will not enter into any form of negotiation with the agitating faction.
Political observers are watching to see the next move by nPDP as the 2019 general elections approaches.
