Presidential candidates of major political parties in Nigeria, political aspirants in Igbo land and their supporters are billed to storm Abagana in Anambra state for the third edition of the Igbo International Christmas Retreat holding at Dr Nwachukwu Anakwenze Villa (Onowu Abagana) on 30th December, 2018 by 10.00am.
The candidates are expected to tell Ndigbo what they have in stock for them in 2019 and beyond.
Meanwhile, Ohanaeze Ndigbo has lamented the high cost of items during Christmas and noted that its not Christ-like for Christmas to be making things difficult for their fellow Christians during the time of birth of Jesus Christ , the saviour of mankind.
The spokesman of the group Chuks Ibegbu warned against the skyrocketing of prices of goods during Christian festivities.
He noted that it should even be a time for prices to go down if Christians really claim to love Jesus Christ.
In another development, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo spokesman won the Publicity man of the year .
The announcement was made at Abuja by a Non-Governmental Organisation [NGO], Centre For Public Awareness and Free Speech .
According to the Director of Programme of the group, Usman Baba, the Award would be officially given to the recipient in January, 2019.
The runner up was Yinka Odumakin , the spokesman of Afenifere while the third position went to the Minister of Information , Lai Mohammed.
Joshua Jaja, an Abuja based communication expert, won the fourth position.
