Quit speculations, I’ll unveil Ministerial nominees Oct 6 – Saraki



Senate President, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki has vowed to hide Ministerial nominees from media  till next week Tuesday October 6.

Saraki on his twitter handle confirmed that the Chief of Staff to Mr. President Alhaji Abba Kyari in company of Senior Special Assistant to President on Legislative Matters( Senate) Senator Ita Enag delivered the sealed brown enveloped containing Ministerial nominees to President of the Senate, Senator Bukola Saraki.

Although there are speculations that Rotimi ‎Amechi, Babatunde Fashola, kayode Fayemi, Chris Ngige, Ogbonaya Onu, Kemi Adeosun, among others were in that list.

But, In a statement issued from media to Senate President said, “the Senate President this evening(wednesday) received the list of Ministerial nominees sent to the Senate for screening by President Muhammadu Buhari.

“The list was submitted in a sealed envelope by Chief of Staff to the President, Alhaji Abba Kyari and Senator Ita Enang, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Legislative Matters (Senate).

“Dr. Saraki has, following the tradition of the Senate, decided that the envelope will remain sealed till Tuesday October 6, when during the plenary sitting of the Upper legislative chamber, it will be opened and the list read to Senators.‎”
