Elombah.com report on the above is a very welcomed idea but there are problems that needs to be addressed. First this should not be called ADR it should be called “Truth and Reconciliation Committee”
Secondly, if this is not a sham Barrister Chuka Obele should be removed from the committee because he is the attorney representing “Umuchukwu”. If they insist that he should be there then the attorney representing Nkerehi Dr. Nweke should be included in the committee.
While I said that it should be called Truth and Reconciliation is that a lot of people where corrupted during this period of time including the former Governor of Anambra state Mr. Peter Obi and his commissioner for Local Government Mr. Obaze. They and our state representative Niki Ugochukwu should all be invited. They were there when Nkerehi people were thrown into exile for two years and the state government did not do anything. They were there when these people’s properties were all stolen and houses vandalized and the state government did not do anything, and the police station built by Dr. Maduka turned their faces the other way when these atrocities were been committed. The catholic church should also come to testify because they were a party to this confusion.
The Anambra state Judiciary should come and testify to tell the world how a case could be in court for more than 8 years. I am still wondering why Umeadi the chief Judge is calling this panel when we know that he is compromised. Are we calling this committee to just open a high court that was built by Dr Maduka with the instruction of Umeadi or are we trying to finally settle this confusion caused by Peter Obi and his cronies.
The atrocities committed in Nkerehi is beyond imagination. Today, families are divided along name line, brothers cannot bury their brother because this person belong to a different group. Nkerehi people were not allowed to bury their death and some times given conditions to do that and the police which is compromised is watching. I also want people like the former IGP Okiro and Commissioner of police Ezike to come and testify they were the enablers of the confusion. Please do not forget that one of our brothers was killed during this period of time and the police did not do anything. We are still mourning his death. He was in the mortuary for more than six years and we could not wait anymore than to bury him.
I am very proud to be from Nkerehi and nothing can take that from me. It is the name our ancestors gave us, it is our collective name.
