The scholars also noted that the prevailing malfunctioning of the various institutions of the state makes it imperative for the Federal Character Principle to be abolished.
“NOTABLE scholars were yesterday unanimous in their call for meritocracy to be entrenched in the manner Nigeria is governed in order to have strong institutions needed for growth. They also noted that the prevailing malfunctioning of the various institutions of the state makes it imperative for the Federal Character Principle to be abolished.
The scholars, who took this position in Lagos at the 79-year anniversary colloquium in honour of Prof Anya O. Anya, said the practice of quota system in Nigeria is inimical to growth. At the forum which was entitled: ‘’creating an Enabling Environment for Private Sector- Led Growth: Education, Institutions and Creative Destruction,’’ it was agreed that what Nigeria needs in the face of the current economic crisis is to re-gig its institutions in order to inspire growth.”
How Nigeria can rise again, by Anya, Utomi, others
Hurray, the Nigerian dilemma is finally resolved; the dead country, Nigeria, has miraculously risen; the wolves and sheep now dwell in peace; the born-to-rule and its retrogressive coalition has been convinced to give up their colonization of the ethnic nationalities cursed to occupy the evil space called Nigeria; the state of Nirvana has been attained. The vision by the priest Fodio below leading to the strategy by Sardauna, quoting the write-up ‘Before ISIS or ISIL was Nigeria British Birthed Born-to-Rule Terrorists’ by Maazi Nnaemeka Mene Onumonu-Uzoaru, below, is no longer in play.
“Obviously, the born-to-rule dogged embrace of the current totally undemocratic polity biased in their favor, a deliberately imposed form, many thanks to the British government; and their refusal to allow or support the restructuring of Nigeria to equitably reflect the recognition of all nationalities (many in the North) as part of the polity will continue as the undoing of both their plot and that of their partner in crime, the British government.
“That they still labor under the false impression and misconception that they can seize power by intimidation, anarchy and mayhem or through the barrel of a gun is not surprising. Neither surprising is their belief in the outdated strategy of their Spiritual leader, the Sardauna of Sokoto, Alhaji Sir Ahmadu Bello (1909-1966), the belief that Nigeria is their conquered territory to do with as they see fit; leading, of course, to the continuing total, unchallenged and unquestioned domination, pillaging and looting of Nigeria.
“The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great grandfather Uthman Dan Fodio. We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We use the minorities in the North as willing tools and the South as a conquered territory and never allow them to rule over us and never allow them to have control over their future”. – (Parrot Newspaper, 12th October, 1960, recalled by Tribune, 13th November, 2002)
The above irrational belief is traceable to the vision, below, of their priest Fodio, of which the British government were well aware of even as they were determined to use it as a weapon against the ungrateful Nigeria ethnic nationalities especially the uppity Igbo.
“In this apparition Fodie was informed that the whole of that beautiful country around them, with all its populous towns and countless villages, belonged to the believers in the prophet, to wit the Phula; and that it was Fodie’s divine commission, with the help of the faithful, to wrest all those flowery plains, fruitful hill, and those lovely valleys, from the hand of the Kafirs, and then to bring all the Kafirs into subjection to the Islam, and to devote to the sword everyone who refused to believe.” – West African Countries and Peoples, by James Africanus Horton (1868)”
WHO IS FOOLING WHO?
If the accepted definition of Insanity is ‘Doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results’ how then does one explain the ‘dogo turenchi’ coming from a group of what appears to be intellectually dishonest, challenged and dense group of scholars, who despite ALL evidence to the contrary continue the ploy of trying to bamboozle their ethnic nationalities to continue in slavery in perpetuity in the slave camp, mirage of a failed state and ‘British Birthed Abomination’, Nigeria.
I guess, see no evil, hear no evil and speak no evil is probably the only possible explanation for this august gathering of individuals suffering from ‘head in the sand’ syndrome since 100 years plus of experimentation has proven that Nigeria is unworkable as presently constituted with ethnic nationalities without commonality of interests; governance ranging from Fulani Feudalism based on a foundation of Anarchy at one extreme, and Igbo Ohacracy (collective servant leadership form of democracy) based on the Rule of law, at the other extreme; two forms of governance that cannot and will never exist under the same umbrella.
That this meeting is held under the existing governance of the maximum dictator General Buhari, the president of the core-North, who has shown complete and total disregard for the rule of law even as he has placed his kinsmen in nearly every position of power, is an indictment of these individuals.
Listen to them:
“Those at the event include Chief Emeka Anyaoku, Prof George Obiozor, Prof Pat Utomi, Prof Oye Ibidapo Obe, Mr. Fred Agbeyegbe, Chief Lawson Omokhodion and Mr. Laoye Jaiyeola among others. In his remarks, Utomi, who was the moderator of the event, said: ‘’Most agree that things would have been much worse without the work of the Nigeria Economic Summit Group. Yet it is often noted that government has not drawn from the conclusions of annual economic summits or implemented even those things it has committed to with the kind of discipline that will earn it an execution premium. If institutions that support private sector investments and reduce the drag of corruption and toll gates that delay permits, licenses and harassment by tax agencies are reduced, new growth can herald the Nigeria renewal. Political will is key to making that happen.
“People are upset about the collapse of the price of crude oil but I am extremely happy because it may bring the madness in Nigeria to an end. We cannot afford this madness until the entire citizenry is alive and awake because what Nigeria needs is growth.’’
How else does one define house slaves? What planet do they live in? Is it possible that they are unable to see the misery, suffering and endemic and unimaginable pain around them? Is it possible that after 100 plus years of a failed experiment these individuals are willing to continue to condemn their brethren to hell on earth? TUFIAKWA!!!!
It is time that each ethnic nationality:
Control 100% its political space;
Control 100% of its boundaries;
Control 100% of its resources;
Grow at its own pace;
Make the ultimate decision on the way forward by itself and itself alone.
Since the above has been shown and proven to be impossible in Nigeria despite the fantasy of the house slaves who continue to embrace one-Nigeria but are unwilling to demand that Nigeria live up to its basic commitments to its citizens; who refuse to raise their voices in defense of the oppressed; who refuse to demand that justice, the rule of law, accountability and transparency be enshrined and become common place in Nigeria; who talk the talk but refuse to walk the talk; who pretend that the misery around them and the descent of Nigeria into the abyss is okay as long as all is well with them and their families; who refuse that Nigeria was/is a failed experiment designed to benefit its former colonial master and the new colonial masters, the born-to-rule and its retrogressive coalition; to your tents all ethnic nationalities in abomination and insult to mother Africa, Nigeria.
Long Live the Islamic Republic of Arewa!
Long Live the Republic of Oduduwa!
Long live all other Republics born from the demise of the abomination Nigeria.
