Lawmakers in the House of Representatives have asked the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to arrest and prosecute the senior special assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on prosecution, Mr. Okoi Obono-Obla.
The lawmakers made the recommendation on Thursday while adopting the report of its committee
The committee had investigated the special presidential investigative panel for the recovery of public property (SPIP) headed by Obono-Obla.
The lawmakers recommended the arrest of Mr. Obono-Obla for allegedly being in possession of fake West African Examination Council (WAEC) result.
They also recommended the withdrawal of the law degree of the presidential aide as well as his law school certificate which he reportedly obtained with the result.
