Reps Forcefully Adjourn Plenary As Shiites Take Over NASS Premises
Members of the House of Representatives were forcefully adjourned plenary session following forcefully entrance into National Assembly premises by members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN)
The IMN members who stormed entrance of National Assembly to protest against continues detention of their leader, Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, later forcefully gained entrance to premises of Nigeria Parliament.
Griped by fear on the consequence of the development, the Deputy Speaker of House of Representatives, Yusuf Lasun who was presiding over plenary, announced that he had just been briefed over the development before the lawmakers adjourned.
Yusuf said he chose to adjourn plenary out of caution.
More security operatives have been deployed to the second gate, which is just metres away from where the lawmakers hold their sitting.
