REVEALED: APC Senators Met In Buhari’s Abuja House Today
It has been revealed to ElombahNews that senators of the All Progressives Congress [APC] caucus held a meeting in a house that belongs to President Muhammadu Buhari which explains their absence at the National Assembly in the morning.
A source wrote to ElombahNews following the National Assembly imbroglio on the condition of anonymity:
“We have found the APC Senators.
“They are on Aso Drive in a House that belongs to President Buhari. Same house he stayed during 2014/2015 campaign.”
It was gathered that the APC senators held a meeting with party chairman with the sole aim of how to overthrow the Saraki-led leadership.
The “legislative coup”, in the words of lawmakers, failed which led to the sack of the Director General of the Department of State Security [DSS], Mr. Lawal Daura.
Some APC members had earlier denied reports that they convened at the National Assembly on Tuesday to overthrow the National Assembly Leadership led by the Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki.
Speaking to ElombahNews, the Imo State APC Publicity Secretary, Mr. Onwuasoanya FCC Jones stated categorically that ‘APC senators were not in National Assembly today’.
He also stated that the APC senators were not informed of any reconvention by the National Assembly hierarchy which explains why “no single APC Senator was around the National Assembly Complex today, or at least, as at this moment”.
“It is important to note that no single APC Senator was around the National Assembly Complex today, or at least, as at this moment.
“The Senate is on recess, and the information we have is that there will be a meeting between National Assembly leadership and the management of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).”
