Revealed: The Fraud called Anambra Rice, The truth you must know

The many lies of Obiano’s Government exposed..

The name Anambra Rice mill limited as incorporated by the Corporate Affairs Commission is a 100% private owned company owned by one Chief Akai Egwuonwu and his two children as the only directors. Anambra rice mill limited, was carved out from Stine industries limited owned by same Akai Egwuonwu, for political and business reasons aimed at using it to exploit the state with the support of Obiano’s government hence they came up with the package Anambra rice, an idea the governor bought without waste of time and also went ahead to strike a deal that the owner should keep the impression to the public eye that the rice mill belonged to the state government whereas the government has no single hand in the running of the company which is located at Amichi

The company site was formerly used as a bakery industry (ODICHIE bread) by the late  mother of the CEO. The property in question never at anytime belonged to the government neither does the state government have any hand in the management of the company. In fact according to unofficial sources within the company, the state government tops the chart amongst the buyers of the said rice at a cost higher than what it is sold to individuals, though we learnt it’s a deal between the CEO and the commissioner for agriculture and some top members of Obiano’s caucus.

More so, according to unofficial insider sources at Stine industries, the paddy from which this rice are gotten from, 98% of them are bought from Niger state, Gombe state and Nasarrawa states. The company sends representatives to those rice farmers in the north, negotiates with them and the CEO credits the account of the supplier and also pays for loading and carriage of the paddy with trailer from the north part of the country. So in the real sense, what the anambra rice mill does is buy paddy, process, polish and package it for sale. By implication what we call anambra rice is actually a package rice Ugwu awusa(hausa rice). Jesus Christ!, what a deceit.

Insider sources also revealed to us that the scarcity of the rice in the market now is borne out of the fact that the CEO who has become a chronic debtor owes so many of his suppliers in the north, they have refused to sell paddies to him until he settles his debt with them, leaving the Stine CEO with having to send one of his boys to buy paddies in bags and assembling them at farm locations in the north after which they load them when the paddies bought get large enough for a trailer to carry

More information on this revelation is unfolding and I will furnish them as it comes. This has nothing to do with politics. It’s a truth which every son and daughter of Anambra State must know. The state Govt must answer to this. Obiano’s cronies and minions will be sent to insult me after this revelation but I don’t care, let them defend it, counter it or provide Anambrarians  with their own version on why they choose to deceive Anambrarians all these years concerning  Anambra Rice.
