#RevolutionNow Group Invade Buhari’s London Home
Members of the #RevolutionNow group have invaded Nigeria House in London where President Muhammadu Buhari is accommodated.
The #RevolutionNow group was created by Omoyele Sowore, the publisher of SaharaReporters.
The protesters stormed the Nigeria House over the prolonged detention of their leader, Sowore, despite several court orders ordering his release.
Recall that Mr. Sowore, and his co-defendant, Olawale Bakare, are facing trial over treasonable felony charges.
In the court proceeding yesterday, their lawyer, Mr. Femi Falana (SAN), told the Federal High Court in Abuja that Sowore and Bakare have met the bail conditions imposed on them and should be released.
During the proceeding, Falana asked for an adjournment of the case prepare for the defence of the defendants.
He said: “I have already explained to the learned prosecuting counsel that we are encumbered by the refusal of the State Security Service to allow us to prepare for the defence of the defendants.
“I had already asked my learned counsel for the prosecution, that we are confident that the defendants will be freed today (Wednesday) from the custody of the SSS having met the bail conditions imposed on them by this honourable court.
“Once they are liberated from the custody of the SSS, we will be in a position to take full instruction from them.”
