#RevolutionNow, Students Association protest hike in petrol price, electricity tariff
The #RevolutionNow movement, in conjunction with the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) staged protest on Tuesday in Osun State capital, Oshogbo, over hike in petrol price, electricity tariff, cable TV subscriptions, et al.
The protesters had converged at the Nelson Mandela Freedom Park, Old Garage in Osogbo and marched to Ola-Iya junction of the state capital.
The protesting throng chanted anti-government songs and displayed placards with several similar inscriptions.
Recall that the Federal Government recently increased the ex-depot price of petrol from N138 to N151.56.
The Petroleum Pricing Marketing Company (PPMC) made the announcement on September 2, 2020.
Petroleum marketers equally adjusted pump price to N162 per litre.
