Breaking: Senate Confirms Tanko as CJN
Senate on Wednesday confirmed Ibrahim Mohammad Tanko as Chief Justice of Nigeria after six months as Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria.
The CJN who was grilled for close to one and half hours told the lawmakers that there is no space to accommodate newly appointed Justices of Supreme Court.
Speaking on corruption in Judiciary , the CJN said that there is more corruption at the lowest level of Judiciary (Magistrate).
According to him, “I am not surprised that we have corrupt judges in the Judiciary. The most worrisome is that , it happens most at the lowest ebb of Judiciary.”
