Senate begins investigation into the $3.5billion spent under the ‘Subsidy Recovery Fund’ of the NNPC.

Today, the Nigerian Senate began an investigation into the $3.5billion spent under the ‘Subsidy Recovery Fund’ of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC).

Senator Biodun Olujimi cited Order 42 and speaks on the 3.5billion dollars being managed by just 2 people in NNPC.

“That amount is too large to be managed in such a manner. Senate President  Bukola Saraki
mentioned the need for a budget on subsidy and that has not been done.”
