Senator Abba Ibrahim Quits Senate C’tees Work before expiration of 8th Senate
Former governor of Yobe state, Senator Abba Bukar Ibrahim on Friday resigned from Senate committees before the expiration of eight Senate in June.
The Senator representing Yobe East Senatorial District, announced his retirement at the Senate Committee on Environment.
He said that he was already tired of rendering active service to the nation in whatever capacity, but added that he was ready to offer advice to younger politicians who consult him on political issues.
“I will not contest election in future anymore because of my age. I have done my best for the country. I will cease to be a member of this Committee and other Committee from the end of April.
“Today is the last time I sit for Senate Committee on Environment and I say bye to all of you,” he said.
