Senator Ifeanyi Ubah hails Onyema as Air Peace gets 3rd new Embraer 195-E2


Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah has felicitated with the Chairman of Air Peace Ltd., Chief Allen Onyema, as the company takes delivery of its third brand new Embraer 195-E2 aircraft.

Speaking at the occasion, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah said that Air Peace is a globally competitive aviation powerhouse to be looked out for.

Speaking in a statement, he said:

“Yesterday being Thursday, June 17, 2021, my joy knew no bounds as I joined my brother, constituent, stakeholder and Chairman of Air Peace Ltd; Chief Allen Onyema to receive the third of his brand new Embraer 195-E2 aircraft at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport.

“During the unveiling ceremony, Chief Onyema disclosed that Air Peace Nigeria Ltd has paid for 13 aircrafts and also made an additional purchase of 17 aircrafts making it a total of 30 new aircrafts.

“This is a historic milestone that has distinguished Air Peace as a trailblazer in the Nigerian aviation industry.”

The Senator representing Anambra South Senatorial District at the upper chamber of the National Assembly, noted that Air Peace remains a key contributor to the Igbo nation’s socio-economic development that has placed the Nigerian flag on a global pedestal.

He said the company has also set in motion the dividends that the aviation industry offers for future economic growth, as well as strengthened local investments and commercial ties spanning beyond Nigeria.

“As a member of the Nigerian Senate Committee on Aviation,” he said, “I will continue to play a key role in fashioning out legislative frameworks and policies that will protect our indigenous Airlines as well as checkmate unwholesome practices that threaten the survival and growth of the Nigerian aviation sector.”

He congratulated Chief Allen Onyema and the entire board/management of Air Peace Ltd. as he ‘continues on this laudable journey towards growing our local economy and using the airline to connect Nigeria to the rest of world’.
