Several killed as armed Fulani men attack Southern Kaduna
Several killed have been confirmed killed as a drove of armed Fulani bandits attacked Apiye Jim village, in Atyap Chiefdom, Zangon Kataf Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
According to a source, the attackers, who struck Sunday evening , left at least persons dead in one count.
Eyewitnesses said they stormed the village while it was raining and divided themselves into groups and targeted houses.
The attackers reportedly executed their operations in about 10 minutes and left while it was raining.
Many people were reported missing after the attack though so it is not yet possible to ascertain the number of those injured and those killed.
Reacting to the latest attack a source lamented that Kaduna is the most garrisoned state in Nigeria bar none.
He noted that the number of military and security installations in the state is fulsome, yet, under their watch, entire communities are being liquidated, displaced, and/or destroyed.
He wondered whether there is no state complicity in the whole scenario.
