“Of course if you follow legal options from court of first instance to the court of Appeal to the Supreme Court, it will take at least two, three years.
“And by that time, we could have lost 2019, or another party would have emerged.
“If that happens, the emerging party would be weak, PDP would be weak and APC would be stronger”.
This is the assertion of Dr. Cairo Ojoughoh, Who is the deputy national Chairman of the Senator Ali Modu Sheriff-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The former National Vice Chairman, South South justified the claim of the former Borno State governor to the office of National Chairman of the main opposition party in Nigeria, PDP.
Contending that Sheriff is still the authentic chairman of PDP, he said:
“Sheriff remains the Chairman of the party.
“The Port Harcourt court has no right whatsoever to entertain the suit having been aware of two rulings in Lagos.
“And that the Port Harcourt even admitted that it was aware of those two cases in Lagos and went ahead to sit.
“It was total miscarriage of justice”.
When tackled that Sheriff supposed to leave after completing Muazu tenure as Chairman, he said:
“Sheriff was on his way to leave when he was given three months to conduct convention, when the governors begged him to come and contest, that the way he revived the party was marvelous.
“It was the governors that begged him to contest. Because he refused to do their bidding, they decided to do away with him.
Sheriff is an agent of change and God doesn’t make mistake.
“The God that brought Sheriff brought him for a purpose to wash away impunity out of PDP, to purify the party.
“And as change agent, circumstances and conditions bring them up, if God did not approve for him to be chairman he would not have been chairman,” he said.
