The leader of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Zamfara State, Dr. Sani Abdullah Shinkafi has alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) members in the state offered N56 million to bandits.
Dr. Abdullah Shinkafi made the allegation during a press briefing in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, over the weekend.
The referenced bandits were the abductors of school girls from Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe, Talata-Marafa Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
According to Shinkafi, APC asked the bandits not to release the abducted girls, noting that their aim was to sabotage the peace efforts by the state governor, Bello Mohammed Matawalle.
The 2019 governorship candidate of APGA in Zamfara State dared any politician from both the ruling party, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and opposition APC to subject their telephone numbers to security checks if they reject his allegation.
Shinkafi expressed confidence that the security checks on the personal telephones of the politicians between February 25 till when the girls were released will produce a harvest of shocking results.
He said: “I, therefore, challenge politicians from both the ruling and opposition parties to subject their telephone numbers to security checks since I am confident that the story that will come out of that process would be shocking.”
