Sowore causes stir in Abuja court, arrives for trial with juju man

There was a mild drama at the Wuse Zone 2 Magistrate court, Abuja on Tuesday as a juju man fully dressed in the traditional regalia of his trade accompanied the human rights activist, Omoyele Sowore for trial.

The traditionalist was seen waving his horse whip and gourd in the air while making some chants ahead the commencement of trial.

Court staff, journalists, policemen and other visitors who were present at the court premises were stunned with the development and while others burst into laughter.

As time of filing this report supporters of the activist were chanting anti government songs in front of court.

Sowore was arrested alongside four others on crossover night for organising a candle light procession and charged for alleged criminal conspiracy, unlawful assembly and inciting public disturbance
