Stay Out Of Anambra Politics, Sen Andy Uba Tells Primate Ayodele

All Progressives Congress, APC, Governorship candidate in the forthcoming Anambra State Governorship election in November has accused Primate Elijah Ayodele, Leader, INRI Evangelical Church of needlessly stalking him over the impending polls while asking him to desist from what he terms sudden fixation on the party and the politics of Anambra State.

The former Senator made this known through the Andy Uba Campaign Council, AUCC, in statement signed by Chief Paul Chukwuma, the DG of the campaign council.

Sen Uba was reacting to a double prophesy made seperately by the cleric on Anambra Governorship election.

In the first instance, Prophet Ayodele claimed that APC stood better chance of winning the election if it fielded George Muoghalu, one of the aspirants under the party flag but was defeated alongside 13 other aspirants by Sen Uba under controversial party Primary.

AUCC had been forced to term such prediction as ‘random permutations you see on betting sites’.

Primate Ayodele had then again responded with another prophesy predicting electoral doom not only for Anambra but also the country in 2023 if APC fields Sen Uba.

Primate Ayodele claimed that God showed him that there would be advanced rigging during the election, adding that the outcome would determine so many things ahead of 2023.

He claimed that in his said vision, the ruling party wants to go all out to rig the election in favour of its candidate.

Reacting to the prophesy, Sen Uba’s campaign team urged the cleric to be more measured in his pronouncement like his peers in the Christian ministry.

“We urge him to copy good examples from men of God who understand that one of the most cherished values of Christianity is its absolute neutrality in politics.

“It doesn’t signify impassivity. It simply acknowledges that rulership comes from God.

“Therefore, a situation where a so called man of God wakes up at random to make strange permutations in the name of prophesies like he has been doing, particularly in the last few days on Anambra state politics leaves so much to be questioned,”

AUCC also advised the cleric not to bring God’s alter into disrepute.

“They pointed out that Primate Ayodele has been in the habit of making pronouncements that never came to fruition.

“Was it not the same cleric who, in 2019, claimed that he saw a vision of Saraki winning the presidential election for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)?
“Did PDP win? Where is Saraki now?

“He also prophesied against APC and Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state, and said the party will lose, but the governor won up to the Supreme Court.

“Since it appears that the cleric is unwilling to listen to reason and common sense, we are again compelled to advert to our earlier position on him that such blatant, open partisan and unabashedly unsolicited campaign, completely contrasts with teachings of Christianity, a religion Distinguished Sen. Andy Uba is completely devoted to,” AUCC said.
