Sudan shuts borders, schools over Covid-19, Nigerian students stranded —Shehu Sani

Senator Shehu Sani has disclosed that many Nigerian students are stranded following a directive by the Government of Sudan to shut down borders as well as schools across the country.

Senator Sani made the disclosure on his Twitter handle on Tuesday after he “got many distress calls”.

He tweeted:

“The Government of Sudan has shut its borders, schools have been closed and students told to vacate their hostels.

“Many Nigerian students are now stuck and stranded. I got many distress calls.

“However, foreign ministry is engaging their Govt to get our students back #CoronaVirusNigeria.”

Earlier yesterday, the government of Chad has also shut down her borders despite not yet recording any case of Coronavirus.
