Tambuwal’s Deputy Reportedly Resigns, Abandons Him
Unofficial reports have claimed that Alhaji Ahmed Sokoto, the deputy governor of Sokoto State has resigned his position and abandoned his principal, Governor Aminu Tambuwal.
It could be recalled that Alhaji Sokoto emerged the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
The deputy governor reportedly submitted his resignation letter to the state House of Assembly but the House is yet to make the resignation public.
ElombahNews was informed that the House does not want to read on the floor during Tuesday’s plenary session.
Sokoto fell out with Tambuwal since dumped APC for opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and has vowed to remain in the ruling party.
Tambuwal woes became complicated when he failed to clinch the PDP presidential ticket and worsened when he lost the party’s re-election ticket for the state.
This medium is still investigating the report and will report accordingly as soon as the official version becomes available.
