Taraba State receives COVID-19 vaccines [photos]
Taraba State Government has received the state’s consignment of COVID-19 vaccine earlier today.
The Executive Director and CEO of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Dr. Faisal Shuaib announced this on Thursday.
The vaccines were received in two Hilux Trucks by officials of the State Government in Jalingo.
The attached photos show the State Government officials receiving the vaccine consignment on Thursday.
With this development, Taraba joins other states like Lagos, Edo and others who have received the Astra-Zeneca vaccines in the fight against the pandemic.
ElombahNew had earlier reported that the Edo Government had on Wednesday received 81,080 doses of AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccines for distribution in the state.
The Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Health, Dr Osamwonyi Irowa, disclosed this to newsmen.
He said that the vaccines were delivered alongside the syringes, also numbering 81,080.
Lagos State was the first to received its own consignment of the vaccines.
