Throwback: Shocking Timeline Of Herdsmen Killings In 2018

509

Below is the list of killings, majorly in Middle Belt of Nigeria, since January 1, 2018, covering the first quarter and the early second quarter of the year.

The list was reportedly released by the office of the Senate president, Bukola Saraki

The list, according to  the source, shows killings that formed the basis for the invitation of the Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Kpotum Idris to the Senate hearing.

The IGP, however, on all three occasions refused to appear before the Senate.

It could be recalled that President Muhammadu Buhari had expressed surprise when he was queried by the residents over non-presence of security operatives while the killings continues unabated.

He told the residents that he gave express order to the police boss but was blatantly ignored by Idris.

* Offa killings were from multiple armed robberies on banks in the town.

In the words of this source, “human lives are now like cow they slaughter every day in abattoir!”

Presently, the number has presumably doubled as many more killings have been recorded across the country in the hands of the murderers who kill without restraint.

Second report is expected.
