Trade Ministry Denies Knowledge Of Purported ‘Staff’ Hobnobbing With EFCC
The Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment has also officially denied knowledge of one Patience Linus Yakubu who is a purported staff of the commission.
In a previous report titled “Civil Service Commission Denies Trade Ministry ‘Staff’ Hobnobbing With EFCC”, ElombahNews had, on June 13, reported that the Federal Civil Service Commission [FCSC] has denied knowledge of Ms. Yakubu, a purported staff of the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, saying it has no single record of her.
The denial was contained in a letter signed by H. T. Ejibunu, the Director of Human Resources Management for the honourable chairman of the commission in response to a Freedom of Information [FoI]-based inquiry forwarded by the Chief Analyst for Research and Information of Eagle Eyes Transparency International, Dr. George Davidson, to the agency.
In a latest development, the Industry & Trade Ministry denied knowledge of any “Patience Linus Yakubu” as a staff of the commission with no single records of hers following another Freedom of Information [FoI]-based inquiry by Dr. George Davidson, the Chief Analyst for Research and Information for the anti-corruption group, Eagle Eyes Transparency International.
See the attached document:
According to information made available to ElombahNews by Eagle Eyes International, she was arrested with an identity card of the said Ministry in the office of the Head of the Department of Medium and Small Scale Enterprise on the 22nd October 2018 at about 2pm Nigeria time.
Consequent upon the denials by relevant organisations, Eagle Eyes asked: “The ID card she hanged sitting in the office of the HOD, Mr Okalafa, was issued by who?”
Eagle Eyes informed that the ID card was handed over to Mr Muktar Sadi.
Continuing, the anti-corruption group said:
“This is very strange as every staff of every ministry ought to have been recruited by the commission in the first instance.
“The questions now are: Who employed her? When, where and how?
“We saw her with an identity card of Federal ministry Industry , Trade and Investment at the point of arrest October 22nd 2018 about 2pm.”
The group recalled Yakubu’s story of an imposter of EFCC cum extortionist shielded by a former DIG operations Force Headquarters as she claimed to be his mistress even though married to a police Sergeant who is the police orderly to the National Assembly Chief Clark.
Eagle Eyes’ agent was reportedly abducted and detained by IGP-IRT along the line to frustrate the investigation allegedly on the orders of DIG Habila Joshak.
