The District Head of Hong, Alhaji Umar Babangida Mahmud lampooned the Member representing Gombi/Hong at the national Assembly, Hon Yusuf Captain Buba.
Babangida revealed that Buba will face a lot of political threats and challenges if his attitude of making promises without fulfilling them to the electorates are not changed and will scuttle his chances of winning elections in 2019.
Mahmud, who is the Dan Malikin Adamawa, based his reasons of the fact that he receives complains on daily basis of Yusuf inability to fulfill promises made to many people, portraying that the attitude can destroy his political career.
He said this in a meeting organised by the Lawmaker at Captain Buba industrial village to showcase his score cards of achievements and stewardship in his three years in office as elected federal lawmaker to represent Gombi/Hong at the national Assembly.
He advised him to take caution as the electorates are waning off with his unfulfilled promises.
He, however, said that the lawmaker have credible perform well in the area of empowerment programs and skills acquisitions in the area.
According to him Yusuf empowered hundreds of youths and women in various skills acquisitions which today they can stand on their own to add value to the economy of the state.
“Captain is good but his lack of redeeming promises will affect his political ambition.
“My candid advice to him is to take caution on the much complains his supporters and electorates are peddling around of his unwilling attitude to stand by his words.
“Let’s his yes be yes and his no be no,” he Said
“He deserve a very big commendation for empowerment programs in the area, our women and youths, the less-privileged were trained in various skills acquisition ranging from welding, computer repairs, aluminum fabrication, farming materials and Saloon equipments to some women.
“I’m strongly advising him to totally change and desist from this character, it’s a big cloud that’s covering his glory and the good in him, many have been labeled black in that regard,” he said.
He also called on politicians to create empowerment programs that will engage teeming unemployed youths in the society which will reduce high level of political thuggery.
All effort to speak to Buba proved abortive as his phone number was not reachable’ at the time of this publication.
Effort was made to contact his Media aid, Musa, to get their commends on the last program held in Gombi organized by the federal law Maker but was also not reachable’.
